How is Aikido practiced?
Aikido can be practiced by men, women and children of all ages. Aikido is not a sport, and there are no competitive tournaments. Students learn through repetitive practice, taking turns as attackers and defenders in an energetic yet studious atmosphere.
Classes follow a six month curriculum with focus on one specific set of techniques each month. After the first six months of training students have been exposed to and have a working knowledge of the core techniques of Aikido. Beginners are welcome to take any basic or mixed classes.
